Water energizes muscles! Cells in the body require a balance of fluids and electrolytes to keep the cells from shriveling. If the cells of the body do not have a healthy balance of fluids and shrivel, then your muscles will feel fatigued. So, do you drink plenty of water before and during your workouts to keep your muscles feeling strong? The American College of Sports Medicine gives great advice on how much water to drink before and during workouts. They suggest that individuals drink around 17 ounces of water two hours before physical activity. During the workout, they recommend drinking water throughout the entire workout. This will help replace the fluids lost due to sweating.
